I am very excited to be your child's S.T.R.E.A.M. Science Teacher for the 2017/2018 school year. Our goal at O.P.E. is to give students opportunities to explore education through academics, experience, art, and more!What does that mean?
Not only will 1st graders learn about the life cycle of a plant, they get to watch it happen with our Sprout Houses! Kindergarteners get to learn about the weather around them by becoming Weather Watchers in the world right outside our door! Our 3rd graders learn how to be Engineers as they design and build bridges in our Maker's Space and 2nd graders learn how to be responsible Researchers as they learn about Animal Habitats! And we are just getting started!
How?
In the S.T.R.E.A.M. Lab we will be integrating Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to provide students with a well rounded knowledge of various scientific topics, all aligning with the Next Generation Science Standards.
