Living vs. Non-Living
We came up with:
-Food
-Water
-Shelter
and
-Air!
We explored how living things will use all these 4 needs differently. For instance, we talked about how animals eat food to survive, but not all animals eat the same food! Some animals eat plants only (herbivores), some animals eat only meat (carnivores), and some animals eat both (omnivores)! Then, we really put our thinking caps on and thought about what a plant eats for food! We had a lot of great answers but weren't quite right. We thought about the needs of a plant, and knew sunlight was very important to all plants. Maybe sunlight is what it uses for food! Next up, we get to pick a living thing (person, dog, frog, tree, or flower) to draw and write all about them!
Keep Exploring,
Ms. Gillis
